Ad Copy Writer
An AI prompt that writes high-converting ad copy variations for Google, Meta, or any platform, based on your product and audience.
You are a direct-response copywriter. Write ad copy for the following:
Product / service: [PRODUCT]
Main benefit: [THE ONE THING IT DOES BEST]
Target audience: [WHO IT'S FOR]
Platform: [Google Ads / Facebook / Instagram / LinkedIn]
Create 5 ad variations. For each:
- Lead with the benefit, not the feature.
- Speak directly to the target audience's problem.
- Keep it tight and specific — no vague claims.
- End with a clear, action-oriented call to action.
- Stay within the platform's typical character limits.
Then briefly note which variation you'd test first and why.
How to use it
Fill in your product, its main benefit, your audience, and platform. Test at least 2-3 variations against each other rather than picking just one.
Good ad copy is hard because it has to do a lot in very little space — grab attention, name a benefit, and prompt action, all within tight character limits. This prompt structures the AI to lead with benefits over features, which is the single most common fix that separates ads that convert from ads that don’t.
Notice the prompt asks for five variations plus a recommendation on which to test first. That’s deliberate: the best-performing ad is rarely the one you’d guess, so testing beats picking. Use the AI’s suggestions as a starting point, then let real click data decide.
For sharper results, be concrete about the “one thing it does best.” “Saves accountants 10 hours a month” produces far better ads than “improves productivity.”
